things have been a little crazy.

-i have been laughing my butt off with my family. my brother cracks me up.

-i have been going on some adventures because i will be leaving the lovely state of utah. i am going to miss the mountains and the beautiful green.

-fishing adventures that turn into finding a tree and fort in the middle of the mountains and playing on them. stellar.

-packing. shopping. no sleep.

scary story.

the other night i watched a scary movie(ask me why? i have no idea).oh yeah i remember why...it was because of a guy. dang those guys. anyway, i watched this tv series called "supernatural". basically it's about these two brothers that have to kill these evil supernatural characters that come from the scary myths. ei, scarecrow, bloody mary, vampires, blah blah blah. so anyway, i watched a couple of these episodes and got a little freaked out. i then went home to an empty house(que: dun dun dun). right when i got home, i locked the door and ran to my room and hoped right in the covers.
the next night i was downstairs in the basement playing the piano, when i heard shuffling coming from the hallway. i looked over to the hallway and i didnt see anything because the hallway was pitch black. i kept playing but only got a couple notes in when i heard it again. i jumped up out of my seat, ran up the stairs and into my room. i slammed the door and locked it. i then jumped into my covers, and "tried" to fall asleep. it took me about 20 minutes to get to sleep, and let me just tell you that i should have just stayed awake. i had the worst nightmares that night, and i was all alone. so lets just say, im glad the house is not empty anymore. now i feel like i can finally sleep.
i did get me thinking though of the other things that scare me.
for instance, that weird guy on chitty chitty bang bang. he always freaked me out.
Also, spiders. BLAH. spiders are so sick.
what is something that scares you?
or am i the only chicken around here?

we had french toast waffles (yes thats what i said) the other night. they were awesome, and we had a great time. we made waffles, danced, and had cadburry egg eating contests. i want to do it again soon, because it was a stellar time.

last week was a very big week for this lady. some friends from collegetown came up to support me while i opened my big letter. after we went to in and out burger joint, and i ate my first hamburger in over a year. the last time i had a hamburger was january of last year(i'm sure you were dying to know that, ha.). i'm somewhat of a vegetarian so this was a big event, hence thats why helen documented it. thanks helen!
ps, i actually LIKED eating the hamburger. weird.

this has been a big month. i first went to washington for a funeral, but played lots with my family. i love them.
i turned 22. whoah
the girls and i aka bestfriend, aunt julie, momma joni, my mom, and i had a girls night. SO MUCH FUN! we got pedicures, deep conditioned our hair, made dinner, and watched a movie. i love them.
i got invited to an irish st pattys party. we ate irish grub, and danced around the huge fire. HUGE FIRE!
this past wednesday i got the best letter in the mail. HOUSTON TEXAS here i come!
i'm so thankful for everyones support and love. i am so thankful and so blessed to have such great friends and family. this is the happiest i have been in my whole life, and i love it. thank you for all your sweet comments and i hope you have a lovely weekend! happy friday.

- this picture was taken new years eve. i actually didnt notice i was the not married person at the party, because they are all my really good friends. it wasnt until the next day when i went to college down, and my friends pointed it out to me. "aww ash, how was it being the third wheel?" HAHA!! so this picture makes me laugh because i didnt know where to stand, so i just sat. front row joe. being awesome, around awesome people.
- at work yesterday, one of my co workers(co worker 1) was telling me about this very attractive man she met a couple years ago. we talked about me getting set up with him, when this conversation happened.
me- "are you kidding me? look at my face right now. (i was not wearing make up).
girl next to me (co worker 2)- "it's ok ash, everyone gets zits once in a while"
me(jokingly)- "i wasn't talking about zits (co worker 2)..."
everyone in the room started busting up laughing! oh man, that was too good.
- my best friend has a girl liking(creeping on) him right now. on facebook he said that he didnt have a voice anymore. she wrote back and asked if he was ok? i then piped in and told her "i think he needs some soup. his favorite is tomato bisque". Not even a minute later, he was calling me. first thing he said was "i HATTTTEEE you." muhahaha
- finding out a guy the guy i just met(that i thought was adorable) has a girl friend. that's my luck.

we had a family get together to celebrate my grandparents, and cousin quins birthday. my nana made the awesome cake, and we all enjoyed it. we just sat around and told funny stories because thats how we role in this family. my uncle then pulled out the guitar started playing some rock songs for us. my cousin also played a couple songs that he is learning. i love my family. they are all so talented and so funny. ps, my cousins are adorable. i love gabbi and lily. when we walk in the mall they tell people they are twins. they are not twins, but they are best friends. im so glad we live close to each other so we are able to have get togethers a lot. i love them.
last week was a little discouraging, and i hate being negative. hence the crappy posts, but every one goes through that right? this week has been much better but really busy. i was actually supposed to go to arizona tomorrow for a wedding. well my ride bailed, so some college town friends planned a vegas trip and wanted me to come along. things were not working out in my favor and i couldn't go. THEN yesterday i found out a close family member passed away, so i will now be going to a funeral. wow its amazing how plans can change so fast in one week. we will see what happens.

on a happy note, my birthday is next week!!! happy st patricks day to everyone!!

story time.

saturday morning i woke up in a lot of pain on the right side of my stomach. i hunched over because it hurt so bad and walked into the living room where my grandma was sitting. i had never felt this kind of pain in my life. it felt like someone was jabbing my stomach with a knife. my grandma had me lay down and started pushing on my stomach to see where it hurt. little tears started falling down my face, because the pain was so bad. she made me lift up my right leg and asked if it hurt. yes, it killed. my grandma said my appendix probably just burst, and called to tell my mom that she was taking me to the E.R. my stomach then swelled up like a balloon as i layed on the floor. she wanted to wait a couple more minutes to see if the pain was going to go away. it didn't. a thought then came to my mind about all the things i ate the night before.
one thought was..sugar free candy.
i only had a couple pieces? what the?
yeaaah, so let's just say my appendix did not burst(thank heavens) and i will never eat sugar free candy again.
oh and a couple hours later, i was fine.
ha ha.

can i just tell you how much i HATE waiting. today i am waiting for my car to get fixed(yeah it had to be towed and everything) boo. then, "ok it will be 300 dollars to get fixed". 300 DOLLARS?! gah man. luckly i got an amazing phone call from my papa. i love my family.
no only am i waiting for my car, i am waiting for an important phone call. a phone call to set up an important interview, which will then make me wait for a couple weeks to find out more information on what is going on. this may not make sense, but that's ok.
long story short, i am waiting and waiting and waiting.

So as i layed in bed last week with the flu, laryngitis, fever, sinus infection, cough, and 2 pink eyes(yes in one week!) so i watched a lot of BOY MEETS WORLD.

little dates to a cute city.

I went on a little date with some friends this weekend. it was nice to get out of the house because of how sick i have been. we headed up to a cute little city and looked at all the art galleries and fun shops. the art was amazing as well as the company. oh yeah, and we both loves star wars. yay for dates to cute towns!

there was this one time when i was at my friends house and we were hanging out with his little sisters. we were down stairs watching Jonah Hex, when we heard lots and lots of giggling coming from upstairs.
meh.. didnt really think to much of it until...
we walked in his room and found a doll sitting on his bed.
smiling at us.
he grabbed the doll and we walked into her room. he grabbed her ipod headphones and started to wrap it around the dolls neck. he looked both ways looking for a place to hang it.
i opened up the closet door and we proceeded to wrap the headphones around the bar.
then it hung there.
smiling.
we shut the closet door.
the next morning i saw she posted something on facebook.
and i laughed out loud, even harder than we were in her room.
she is probably scarred for life.
probably because she is 12.
man, we have to much fun when we are together.

falling in love with arizona day 3

Saturday was LOADS of fun!
-went to cafe rio for lunch. laughed and told funny stories
-headed to the mall to do build a bear. Stud got a wolf, Morg got a rocknroll bear. he put a "do your own sound" thing in his, so we both went in the bathroom and i yelled "rock n roll dude!". we started laughing.
-we then went to Goodwill. I have never been to Goodwill and i heard from multiple people that it was BOMB. so we went. and tried on dresses. good times
-we headed back to the house and made homemade pizza. we just got whole wheat tortilla's, and put sauce, chicken and cheese on top. it was good because the boys could make their own and put however much of whatever they wanted on it.
-we then went to a little place filled with trampolines and foam pits!! we were there for over and hour, and had SO MUCH FUN! we did lots of flips and diving.
-after we headed to wal mart to pick up some 5 dollar shoes. we then got home and colored away. it was cheap and it let them color what they wanted on their shoes.
-i love these boys. they were so good for me, and we had lots of fun! we had a lot of good talks about life, and girls and toys. even though they are not very old, these boys are amazing. not only that Morg always opened my door. see? i love them.
Sunday everyone came back from their trip and we just hung out at the house. i went on motorcycle ride, and loved it! have i ever mentioned how much i love motorcycles? oh yeah. it was amazing. the weather was awesome too.
Monday, we all woke up sick! my flight actually had to be delayed because of how sick everyone was. i looked and felt like a zombie at the airport, and i just wanted to be in a bed. too bad that sickness lasted all week.

Friday:

-I took the boys to the grocery store so we could pick up a couple things.

-we then went to feed the ducks across the street from the house.

-not only did we feed ducks, but we ended up feeding the huge fish in there too

-after that we went to the outdoor mall and just walked around.

-we went to the apple store, to see the dogs, and to other random stores.

-Boo lost his tooth in Charlotte Russe ha!

- We then went to see the movie TRON. The boys LOVED TRON. I had to explain things to them, but they caught on.

-we ran into one of their sisters friends who works at the mall doing that spinny thing. So we did it. It was awesome,but it sure does give you a headache.

-we then went home, and went to bed. that way we could be all ready for day three.

something that makes you happy right now is the fact that i finally feel good about the things that are going on in my life.

your favorite meal as of this week healthy pizza. yes i said it. make it.

pizza: heat oven to 375

on one whole wheat carb smart totilla place two TB of pizza sauce(i use an organic kind found at any grocery store. it is lower in sodium, but any kind is fine). place 3 oz of chicken, 2 slices of deli turkey on the tortilla. you can also add any veggies of choice.

put 2 TB of mozzarella cheese on top of toppings.

place in the over for 13-15 minutes. i would watch for it, i like mine crispy.

BAM! a healthy pizza. who would have thought?

something that made you laugh this week would be this. oh gosh, i can't stop laughing.

a band you were introduced to this week we butter our bread with butter. that is a for real bands name folks.

favorite moment this week would be meeting my new australian friend sara. oh i can tell we are going to be great friends. she even gave me australian coins. cool!

learning new phrases like cuddles for hugs. and fruits and nuts for darn it.

this weekend i went to stay out at my cousins house to tend over night. we had LOTS of fun. my little cousin lily(the little red head on my shoulders) loved getting on my shoulders. "run faster, run faster!"

we then went around giving high fives with her foot, and she was laughing so hard. i also ate blue candy with my other cousin. love the tongues? yeah we did too.

man family is the best, and i love them.

oh and we also watched lots of this .

we were laughing so hard. now my cousins and i share lots of inside jokes.

story time.

So most the time i never really post about my dating life or boys(which i dont know why?). actually i do know why, i dont want to them(the boys) to see what i wrote. then i realized that a) most boys probably dont even know i have a blog and b) i dont really care anymore because there is a reason im not dating them. harsh? maybe. ok so on to the stories. Some are about dates, some are not.

Story number 1.
Remember a couple months ago when i blogged about the book i was reading called "How To Avoid Falling In Love With A Jerk"? So it was a Wednesday and i was reading my book while at work. This (very handsome might i add) guy turns and says "hey what book are you reading?" I told him about the book and that i was reading it for a class. he then says very smoothly "well, why don't i take you out and show you that not all boys are jerks". im sorry but any guy who puts on a smooth line like that, i have to accept. So skipping a couple days later to Friday. he turns to me and asks what we should do for our date. we were laughing and trying to figure out what the plan was. he then says, "ok you should come over to my place at about one". One?! in the afternoon? maybe you don't think this is weird but i did, and not only that i thought "he's a double dipper". double dipper as in he will take me out in the afternoon then but keep his saturday night open for another girl. he wanted to make me dinner and go see a movie. cool, that's fine and i sounded fun. he then asked to change the date to 4 pm. ok even better. so i woke up early and got a lot of things done around the house. 3:30 comes around and he calls me and just started chit chatting. he then had to hurry and get off the phone and said he would call back. when you think of call back, what comes to your mind? well i guess his call back time was a little different than mine because he didn't call me until 6 pm. two hours late buddy, and he told me to drive over to his place. oh and that we were no longer making dinner or going to a movie but doing another activity instead. which i was totally down for carving pumpkins. long story short, we carved pumpkins until about 7 30 then they(boy and his roommates) wanted to go to Starbucks. we went to Starbucks and all sat in the back of his truck laughing and quoting movies. At about 9 he said he was really tired and wanted to go to bed. i'll give him the benefit of the doubt and just assume he went to bed (yeah right!! what 22 year old goes to bed at 9 on a saturday?). on monday, facebook said this boy and a certain girl was in a relationship. funny because wednesday he said he was totally single. guess that happened fast. I had fun, but sorry dude you were still sort of a jerk. 2 hours late, turned out to be not a date just a hang out(which would have been fine if he just told me that) and ditched out early. you double dipper.

story number 2
I have only been country dancing two times in my whole life, and it was fun to go with my girls. but to be honest i really just felt like i walked into a meat market. not fun. not only did i NOT get asked to dance by any normal guys, i kept getting creeper mccreep kenny to ask me to dance. over and over again. he was shorter than me, and never looked me in the eye. not only that he smelled like old sweat. you know that smell, the one where you accidently left your gym clothes in a bag and a week later pull them out and BAM, smell. yeah it was like that. anyway thats beside the point.
my story isnt about him, its mostly about the other creeper who kept asking me to dance. he didnt seem like a creeper when i was talking to him at first, but what happened next topped all my creeper stories i have ever had in my whole life. he danced with me, and we talked about fishing blah blah.
ok so he asked me for my number, and i gave it to him. wrong move on my part. when i got home i then had two texts from him. "hi its -----". "i had a really fun time talkeing to you". very thoughtful right? so i texted him back and said "yeah it was a fun time, have a great night".
he then relplied "well i wud like 2 take u oute sometime, maybe friday?"
"yeah sure that would be awesome. call me tomorrow and we can talk about it".
"well...do u thinke i have a chance withe u?"
huh?! knowing exactly what he ment i said this, "yes you have a chance to take me on date."
"no like be ur boyefriend".
HUUUUHHH?? i just met him.. a couple hours ago!
i then just fell asleep because honestly i didnt know how to answer that. anyway he kept texting me(all day long!) and i would probably reply to about every three texts.
can you blame me? sorry dude, but i dont have my phone with me all the time nor do i have time to just chit chat via text.
anyway i boldy told him he needs to lay off on all the texting and he started getting mega mad at me.
honestly i dont remember what led up to this point but lets just say i didnt go on a date with him, and i had to tell him to stop texting me. he was texting CRAZY things to me. he would put an "e" after everything. talke, aske, saye, you get the gist. anyway i called him and finally had to tell him to please leave me alone. he then called me a nasty word and then turned around and said sorry sorry please talk to me blah blah.
ok so this is where it gets crazy and confusing and the plot thickens.
i was at the gym one night and met a guy who was probably the most attractive man i have ever seen in my life. tall, dark black hair put into a somewhat fo hawk, soul patch, and the a rockin bod. um hello! anyway he starts talking to me and we start chit chatting about..whatever. anyway he asks for my number and wants to hang out sometime. i was a little hesitant after what happened early that week. but i thought, hey maybe he's not a creep? he calls me, so i now had his number that i didnt save(why? i dont know). right when i get home from the gym, i get this call from the same looking number. i answered it and we talked blah blah, he then asked me if i wanted to go to the university dance. DUH! heck yeah i'll go. i told him my address, time to come get me and stuff like that. i started getting butterflies because i was so excited. this boy was very cute, and very nice.
the door bell rings.
i open the door, and guess who is standing at the door.
not gym boy.
it was stalker (from collegetown) who is friends with creeper!!!!
side note: stalker boy followed me everywhere down in collegetown(the town he is from) and always asked for my number but i would never give it to him. you see stalker boy has schizophrenia and he is bi polar. i was still nice to him but i never gave him my number because he was known for doing some scary stuff in collegetown. So that night i went country dancing and met creeper, stalker walked up to him and put his arm around him AFTER i gave creeper my number.
back to the door scene.
my heart dropped and i went into a cold sweat.
i tried to be nice and tell him i must have got some things mixed up and that i couldnt go because something came up. im not that mean to shut the door in his face. but im not going to lie i was really scared, and not only that i was home alone.
he then left and was mad that i couldnt go to the dance anymore.
would you?
anyway long story short i had to block BOTH of their numbers.

note to self: NEVER give your number out to new boys. they may seem pretty in the face, but that doesnt mean they are not creepers.

story number 3.
Last weekend my collegetown friends came up to hometown and we all went dancing. i love them and it was so much fun! we had a huge group and we all just danced and danced. about half way through a friend(who went country dancing with me) came up and said "creeper boy is here!" im glad she told me. i just stayed by my friends and he didnt bother me.

note to self: make sure boys are always in your group.

story number 4.
yesterday i went to the doctor to get a physical and guess how many shots i had to get? 6!!! 6 shots all in my arms. pretty sure i am a little sore today ha.

story number 5.
today: a girl i work with walked in on me while i was in the bathroom. i didnt scream, but i made a weird noise and she hurried and shut the door. i started laughing so hard, while i was washing my hands.the worst thing has to be after something embarrassing/funny happens, you are by yourself to laugh about it. after i walked out and went by her desk and we laughed so hard we started crying.

lots of good things have been happening lately(other than the crazy stories) and im super happy.
life is great, and i hope all you have a wonderful day.

I went to a concert the other night and it was BEYOND awesome. For Today and my buddies I Capture Castle , along with a couple other bands played at the show. After my friends played there was a band that went wild. I had SNIN and bubba protect me from the moshers, but what happened next couldn't be stopped. we were right in the front by the stage when i notice their guitar player was running on the stage and coming at us. he then jumped into the air, out into the crowd. i looked up and saw feet coming at me, when BOOM! foot on the face. that just happened. it was one of the slow motion moments i swear. luckily there was no major damage. just a couple bumps and bruises.
SNIN and i decided it would be funny to pinch the moshers as they were pushing into us. it was funny until SNIN pinched a Straight Edge kid, and he punched the kid next to me because he thought it was the kid that pinched him. HA!!
oh man, that show was AWESOME.
i want to do it again.
oh and ps. one of the bands mom came out to support them. cute huh?
i want to be that kind of mom.

New Years Eve was wonderful. I went to Kirst's house and we ate lots of yummy food and played fun games. I mean come one how can you not love hot wings, Just Dance 2, and rock band? It was so great to play with her family and our friends. I love them. As we rang in the new year a couple thoughts came to my mind. First,"man, this year has been great but im so glad it's over." Second, "i'm so excited for this new year, and new adventures coming my way." Third, "i want to drive to college town to see my friends right now(at one in the morning)."
So guess what I did?
I didn't drive to collegetown at one in the morning, but i did drive down a couple hours later.
can I just tell you how much I love my friends down there? I can't get enough of them. I miss them every day. We went to Wingers, then went back and watched Easy A. Which by the way, that movie is great. A little on the..scandalous side but none the less hilarious. We then went to our friends game shop and dinked around. It was great, and we laughed A LOT. Let's just say there was a lot of laughing, jokes, wrestling, and bruises. aka that big nasty bite on Mitch's arm. ha!
This weekend was lovely. Now it's back to work, paperwork, working out, and no treats.

the holidays are the best time of the year because we get to spend it with the ones we love. i LOVE all my family and friends. how thankful i am for them. the holidays have been so great. we had lots of laughs with papa and cousin. i also went to bestfriends game to watch her cheer. kesley kels came up for a couple hours last thursday and we had so much fun together. we ran LOTS of errands and shared some great laughs. i went and saw TRON(awesome movie!) with two friends who share the same love for nikes. little sis and i purchased the same hat. best purchase ever. can you believe 2010 is almost over? im excited for 2011 and all the adventures that will take place. who's ready to take on 2011?!

i saw this video a couple days ago, and laughed out loud for a good 5 minutes.
Ok i want to get one thing straight. while this video is amazingly hilarious, it's not all true.
the funny part is i do know a couple people like this, but it doesn't mean it's a "provo thing".
now that i got that out of the way, watch this video and laugh your butt off.
because pretty sure i have been laughing so hard the past 3 times i have watched it.
im so glad its friday.
this week has been BEYOND stressful. i have had to write 2 papers, take 3 big tests(in one day), work on a 6 page study guide, and just finish up last minute things.
so that means tomorrow im sleeping in because my body needs it.
i'm also going to 2 christmas parties, working on headbands, christmas shopping, and preparing and finish up planning for the ward christmas party.

yesterday my friend came over to make chocolate chip gingerbread cookies(they were amazing). she left to go have dinner with her family, so then i dilly dallied around the house until the Christmas Devotional started. I went to go turn on the TV, and it wouldn't work. i started to get to angry because a) WHY do tv's have to have 4 remotes to even get it to work and b) the tv wouldn't turn on. probably because i never watch tv, so i couldn't figure out which buttons to use on each of the remotes. what happened to the old school remotes where you press the POWER button, then use the up and down arrows to get to the channel? anyway thats not the point of this, my point being after 20 minutes i finally got the devotional on. it was wonderful. i LOVED the music and the talks. they were so inspirational, and i really felt the Christmas spirit. go here to watch and hear the beautiful words and music.whether your of my faith or not, it really is wonderful and brings such a great Christmas spirit.
it really got me thinking about this Christmas, and how i don't want to waste one minute. I'm trying to soak it all in, because this will be the last Christmas we will have all together as a family for a couple years.
despite all the hustle and bustle of finals, i really want to make sure i feel the Christmas spirit everyday.
i love Christmas
i'm grateful for my Savior and that we get to celebrate him
i love my family
i love wonderful friends
i love the gospel. after all gospel means good news.

so today i was waiting for the light to turn green when i look over and a car is pulling ON THE SIDEWALK to turn onto state street. are you kidding me? they could not have waited 2 more minutes?

i don't understand what the big deal about HP7.1(harry potter) is about?
well actually i kind of can, it IS pretty cool. and remember how i loved twilight there for a second? ok ok i understand now.

why can't i just put my laundry away right when i get it done? noooo it has to sit in the dryer for 5 days. speaking of which, i should probably go get that out. well maybe in a second...

i love getting emails from random guys titled "you married?"
-no im not married, and i wont marry a boy who writes me on facebook asking me that.

for the past couple years i have noticed a pattern. it's like my life is a play. in that play there is this scene that keeps getting repeated, but with different actors every time. it's starting to get really annoying, and really lame. as for the rest of the play it's amazing and i love it. it's just that one scene that needs to end. how can i make it end?

i'm one of those people who has been listening to christmas music since halloween. i asked if we could put up the tree at our house but we can't until AFTER thanksgiving. AFTER?! who does that?

i miss college town. i remember this time last year and the year before i was chillin with all the roommates. i love them. how wonderful they are, and they are very much missed in these parts of town. they are such wonderful women.

today my grandpa called and wanted to take me on a date to a football game. i love family, and i'm so thankful for them.

1. The most spontaneous thing I've ever done.. There have been many spontaneous times in my life. while in collegetown we would take random midnight ihop runs up to hometown. one time we decided we wanted to check out this haunted little place underground, so we gathered up our flash lights and headed to the secret place. after that we all layed in the street and watched some stars. until i got freaked out that we were going to get run over.

2. The best gift I've ever received. all the wonderful people that have come in my life. is that a gift?

3. A time that I was truly and genuinely surprised was when i received my collegetown scholarship. i had tried out to be an ambassador for recruiting for collegetown. i was sitting in seminary and a couple reps from the college walked in to award me. my family was all there snapping pictures. speaking of which i should find those...

4. I can't leave the house without food, cell phone, and water.

5. My favorite day of the week is friday. i always anticipate what the weekend is going to bring.

6. Something that can always make me laugh is stuart from madtv. does anyone else watch stuart? please say yes...

7. My perfect day would include waking up under the stars to head out onto the lake to go fishing. then being able to watch the sun rise over the mountains and feel the cool breeze on my face. The rest of the day would be spent in the boat with my grandpa, dad and brothers. i love them.

ps is it just me or does it resemble the character on "Night Before Christmas"?

this would be the 26 inch(YES!!) pizza that we consumed this weekend. we love THE PIE because it's underground, you can write all over the walls, and the pizza is amazing.
it also happens to be the same weekend that i may or may not have asked for a guys number because he was mega hot. i couldn't pass it up. have i called him yet? no. will i? probably not. but it sure was fun, and we had lots of laughs about it on the car ride home.

the other night johnny came over to my house and we shared a bowl of pomegranate. it was awesome, and delicious. we also started laughing so hard we almost threw up. to be honest, i'm not even sure what we were laughing about. but it sure was funny!

November is awesome already!

i love when the weather turns brisk so i can enjoy soup. my favorite would be chicken noodle soup.

1/2 cup whole wheat noodles. Hodgson Mills noodles is the kind i like to get
1 1/2 cups of low sodium chicken broth
4 oz chicken
chopped up carrots and celery

cook noodles, carrots and celery until soft. drain water and add chicken broth and chicken and cook until warm. i boiled my noodles, carrots and celery in water first because i didnt want to use all the chicken broth, nor would it be enough to cover the noodles. but do what ever way works for you. then i added a bit of pepper on top.

it's perfect for sick days when you haven't had anything to eat.

tonight was the Murder Mystery Dinner for university. The 3 Ash's and Alley got all dolled up in 1940's attire, and we had a blast.

Molley: the head cheerleader, and former class president. she and Lana are best friends, but hates Phineas.

Lana: married to Phineas but really loves Frankie.

Phineas: Lana's husband, and big shot surgeon with a huge ego. no one really likes him

Frankie: the bad boy that all women love

Gloria: very much manly and single. she would do anything to fall in love

Peggy: wanted to be a famous movie star, but instead became a librarian. a very nervous woman

Cliff: used to be number 1 selling horror writing, but hasn't been doing well with his sales.

Milton: psychologist. wanted to impress everyone tonight but failed miserably. causing him to rage all night.

At the end of the night Phineas and Frankie were dead.

last weekend we had the opportunity to get away as a family. every year we have a little get away spot that we go to, and it is so much fun. we played, laughed, talked, took pictures, swam, and even played in a little fort. i love family, and they are such a blessing. i'm glad we were able to have such a fun time together.

5. A talent I wish I had is being organized all the time. have you ever met those people that just have everything put together all the time? yeah i that was my talent. i also wish i was more artistic.

6. A talent I do have is being able to talk to people easily.

how to avoid falling in love with a jerk, and some other random things

This week i finished this book for one of my classes. i think everyone (married or single) should read it. you may laugh at the title(it's ok i did too) but i think it's an amazing book. John Van EPP is a family counselor and through his experiences, he decided to write this book. i learned a lot of things i need to look for while dating someone. but I'm not going to learn those just within a few months of dating someone. time is a HUGE factor in getting to know someone. Time is the only way you will know if someone is a jerk or a gem.

Moral of the story: i don't want to meet, date and marry all with in 3 months. bad news bears..

this weekend was a blast. friday i had a girls night with best friend and we went to dinner, a football game and then treated ourselves to yummy frozen yogurt.

i basically love her and i'm so grateful for awesome friends(that includes you logan).

saturday i played with my little sister and then went to carve pumpkins with some friends. we basically are pro's at pumpkin carving.

today i was spiritually lifted at church listening to the beautiful testimonies, and talks. i just love the gospel, my family and all my great friends.

this afternoon i had a friend over and i was showing him my pumpkin(picture above)

me: "look at this fun pumpkin!"

boy: "is that a cat?"

me: "no it's a three headed dog....*shifting eyes*"

1. The first thing I do in the morning to start my day is say my prayers and read my scriptures. then head in to take my vitamins.

2. Today I wish I was at the gym, or watching movies all day.

3. If I had an extra $100 in my bank account today I'd go and buy a blazer. i have had my eye on one for a while now.

4. Tomorrow i am getting my hair done(its going to be a fun, drastic change!) then going out with friends! yay

5. Two things that don't go together are peanut butter and chicken

6. Something I can never pass up at the grocery store is sugar free reeses. woot!

at our house we love when it the leaves start to color bright colors because that's when we know it's chili run time. on sundays we(grandparents, cousins, aunts, and uncles) gather together in the canyon for dinner. it's so much fun and we are so lucky to be able to live so close to each other.

in collegetown we like to dance, especially when there is glow in the dark paint involved.
it was so great to see all my favorite ladies, and to be able to dance with them all night.
we danced, laughed, and screamed "rock on" way to much.
we were also lucky to be able to watch general conference together.
it was awesome, and i love collegetown.
yesterday i thought about the past three years of my life. i thought about how i didnt want to go to collegetown but it felt right. how thankful i am that heavenly father has a better plan than the plans i want make. i wouldn't have had all the experiences, and i also would not have met all the

beautiful, wonderful people. they are all such great examples and how thankful i am for everyone in collegetown.

1. True happiness is feeling those warm fuzzies inside, and being happy and content with your life.

2. The most surreal moment of my life was when i moved out of my house to go to collegetown. it didnt feel real, but i was so excited for my new adventure.

3. My favorite texture is anything. im not really picky.

4. My signature color is purple. i own alot of purple. but it just matches everything. love!

5. My signature style is layers. is that a style? i like to layer everything, and have things not matching. but i also mix styles alot, so i dont think i just have one style.

6. If I could choose one store to spend my life savings at, it would be H&M. seriously, that store makes me have a shop-gasm(alex!! haha). i love that it has a ton of different items and styles and you dont have to pay a pretty penny for it.

7. My best thing about fall is everything. i love the changing colors, weather, clothes, chili runs in the caynon, and overall feeling that comes with fall.

i love waffles.
i could eat them for every meal if i really wanted to, because they are THAT good.
these waffles are sweet potatoe waffles.
made from eggs, sweet potatoes, vanilla, and cinnamin.
they are so delicious.
don't dog until you try them.
i love the live the life, because every meal is so yummy.

a couple of the meals i made for tomorrow.

p.s. i went to the store today to get ONE thing, and came back with a bag full of stellar clothes items.

so i'm wanting to do a little change up with my hair. i can't really figure out what i want to do with it, but i think i want bangs,with some fun colors through my hair. But then i remember what i looked like the last time i had bangs. do i really want to go there? i guess we will just have to wait to find out.

1. In the story of my life the actor who would play me would be Rachelle Lefevre from Twilight. It's the red hair.

2. If I could change one thing about the world it would be world peace. just kidding. i would just want everyone to be kind, trusting people. no more people killing other people, and being shady.

3. Yesterday was an awesome day! i didn't have class until 11:30 am, then last night i finally got around to watch the KILLERS. um haaii Ashton Kutcher .

4. My favorite comfort food is a bowl of multi-grain cheerios or ice cream

5. My new favorite blog find is "My MisAdventures in Dating" SUCH a funny blog!! i laugh my butt off with all her funny stories

i went camping with some of my family last weekend, and we had a blast. brother, cousin and i met up with my uncle, grandparents, and one other cousin friday night. the drive there was so much fun, because brother, cousin and i just sat and laughed our butts off the whole way.
when we were there we caught some fish, cooked good food, chilled out under the beautiful stars, and just enjoyed one another. i love my family.
the only downfall was when we were driving back it took 8 1/2 hours to get home due to a fire in wyoming(it normally takes only 3 hours). thus causing us to pass through 3 different states, and one LONG drive. it's always an adventure with ash att that's for dang sure.
i hope everyone is having a lovely day. tomorrow is friday! yay!

lately i have been thinking alot about how beautiful it is this month. the colors, the weather, and the new adventures.

so lately i have been OVERLOADED with homework.

like how i should be reading right now...but we won't go into that.

at least tomorrow is my last day of classes for the week.

then its the weekend!!

speaking of the weekend, yesterday my brother, cousin and i decided that we are going to wyoming to go camping.

my grandparents are up there now, so we are just going to go meet up with them.

kind of spur of the moment, but i think that's the best part.

Life has been crazy around these parts of town. Homework, class, work, ambassadors, more homework, sleep, eat, workout. That's my life. But to be honest, I'm the happiest I have been in a very long time. Yes I still have struggles everyday(with trying to get everything done) but I'm loving it. I think when you get to a point in your life where you hit rock bottom, then you start seeing light you need to embrace it and love it.

So this weekend my momma and I hit the upper part of the state for some shopping. I'll have to post my treasures I got tomorrow. On Monday we also had a huge family brunch. Lots and lots of food, laughs, and hugs. They had sticky buns, eggs, sausage, fruit and orange juice. I made me the famous LTL banana pancakes. Seriously they are so so yummy! Later that night some friends and I met up and had a bon fire.
A couple of my guy friends are in a band, so they brought their guitars and sang songs around the camp fire. Great way to end the weekend if you ask me..

1. If I didn't have to work anymore I would move to Ireland and live in a cottage.

2. My favorite thing about a vacation is getting away from everything and just doing whatever you want.

3. When packing for a trip bring lots of clothes with me because you never know what you are going to want to wear.

4. If I could go on a road trip with anyone (dead OR alive) I would choose Steve Carell. then we could say "that's what she said" jokes all day long.

5. My top 3 absolute travel essentials are snacks, ipod, clothes

6. Vacations are freaking stellar. i wish i could be on vacation everyday.

i have now been through my official first week of school at a university. it is very different from collegetown, but i would say im adjusting. my schedule for the week is beyond crazy, and i have a feeling only going to get worse. Just with in my first week of school i have had 2 papers, and 3 quizzes due! And they are not the "get to know you" kind of papers. but all my professors are so great, and make the classes alot of fun and full of discussion. Like how yesterday my professor busted out singing "i wanna be a billionaire so freaking bad." stellar huh? i feel like i have really been blessed with my education, and the professors i have had over the past couple years. it truly makes a difference when they actually care about how well you do in school. and pretty sure i walk 2 miles to get to my first class. straight up. i think i have lost 2 pounds with how much walking i do a day(but that's ok right?!). but i'm so excited for this year! I'm just so happy to be around lots of people!

on monday i realized that i had not received a blessing from my dad yet (we always get blessings before the school year starts). how thankful i am for a loving Heavenly Father in heaven. i know that he is aware of me. I think hard things are going to come my way this year, but i know "i can do hard things" with the help of the lord. He is always there for us. pretty sure i'll be reading this talk alot this year.

1. The most adventurous thing I've ever done - I'm pretty adventurous, so i'll share one of my favorite adventures. Last fall semester we decided we wanted to pull some pranks. So we pulled out the mask of the president who shall not be named, and wanted to scared people in their windows on the first floor. After 30 minutes of that we decided that we should scare people on the 2nd floor. I put on the mask, then put my feet in the boys hands and they lifted me to the 2nd floor window. Long story short, the man who opened the blinds jumped, then opened the window and spit the toothepaste that was in his mouth on me. I fell to the ground, and we all took off running.

2. If I were a pair of shoes I would be nike high tops. Those shoes are rocknroll for sure.

3. My preferred mode of digital communication is talking over the phone. even then, I would much rather talk person to person.

4. I feel happiest when I am with my family and friends.
5. A little dream I have for my life is to be a fashion/wardrobe stylist.

6. The one modern convenience I could NOT do without is the internet.

7. Music, movies, TV or books: if I could only choose one to enjoy I would pick Music. It can help you clean the house faster, work out better, and even pick you up from a bad day.
