new years eve & collegetown adventure.

New Years Eve was wonderful. I went to Kirst's house and we ate lots of yummy food and played fun games. I mean come one how can you not love hot wings, Just Dance 2, and rock band? It was so great to play with her family and our friends. I love them. As we rang in the new year a couple thoughts came to my mind. First,"man, this year has been great but im so glad it's over." Second, "i'm so excited for this new year, and new adventures coming my way." Third, "i want to drive to college town to see my friends right now(at one in the morning)."
So guess what I did?
I didn't drive to collegetown at one in the morning, but i did drive down a couple hours later.
can I just tell you how much I love my friends down there? I can't get enough of them. I miss them every day. We went to Wingers, then went back and watched Easy A. Which by the way, that movie is great. A little on the..scandalous side but none the less hilarious.  We then went to our friends game shop and dinked around. It was great, and we laughed A LOT. Let's just say there was a lot of laughing, jokes, wrestling, and bruises. aka that big nasty bite on Mitch's arm. ha!
This weekend was lovely. Now it's back to work, paperwork, working out, and no treats.

It's True. I LOVE dancing. Last weekend was Jigga's birthday bash. So we had a HUGE dance party in one of the parking lots. It was fun..until the cops came and shut it down. Dang it. It was legit too. Mocktails, dancing, dj, lights, loads and loads and LOADS of people, and a photobooth. Now you know what I mean when I say legit. Dude..it was awesome!

ps. I say dude to both gengers.

p.s.s. I went to college town on wednesday night just because I miss all my friends. And I'm going back tomorrow. I CANT wait. The only thing that has been running in my mind lately(ok not the only thing) is that I wish I would have stayed this semester....

Lost and Not Found

Last week my phone was stolen. straight up. I was at work and I sat next to two new girls that had just started that day. well girl and lady. I dont know their names, nor do i care to know their names after this. So its about 3 30 and I was texting one of my friends. I got up and walked across the room to get my snack from the fridge. I came back and put my head set on and worked for another half hour. I clocked out at 4, walked down to my car, turned on the ignition when I had this feeling to look for my phone. I looked EVERYWHERE. I searched my car, i dumped out my purse, i checked the sidewalk. I finally walked back up stairs and looked where I sat. It was no where to be found. Aw man. So it wasnt until 5 30 when I was talking to my dad and replayed everything back to him, and said. "That girl jacked my phone! Dad she stole my phone!" I was SO UPSET. Not the fact that my phone was gone. Just that someone took something that was not theirs. I dont know, it just bothered me so bad that I got a half hour of sleep that night. The next day the girl sat across from me, and the lady sat behind me. At about 3, my friend asked if maybe my phone was stolen and I said very softly that I think someone stole it. Right when I said that the lady turned around, looked at us and walked over to the girl. They then stood up and walked out into the hallway. Fishey eh? When they walked back in the girl said to me while staring at the screen "sorry you cant find your phone". Everyone in the office went silent. And I told the lady and girl. "You know, if someone stole my phone..I wish they would give it back. I will go out and buy them a new phone if thats what they really want, I just want mine back." They both just looked at eachother and didnt say anything after that. LAME! ITs just dumb, I know who they are and what they did. AND the fact that I have to see them everyday at work. I feel like I always have to watch my back, because they are sketchy to me. I hate feeling that way. I hate not trusting people, but I guess you learn from it right? While this whole thing happened last week, yeah i was REALLY sad about my phone. But I cant even imagine what people feel like when someone steels a kid, or things out of a home, you know what I mean? Anyway so its crappy, but im counting my blessing thats for sure. Im grateful for such great family, and friends who came over to my house and let me cry and yell and be mad while they listened. I dont deserve the friends and family I have, because they are truely great and I love them so much. I guess I supplied someone with a really awesome phone that day. I hope they had a great day, and that I made it so much better for them. Oops sometimes I am sarcastic. only that line was sarcastic though. Anyway thats whats been down in the Ash town.

Also, I went back to college town this weekend. I loved seeing everyone and all my friends. I had such a great time down there and LOVED it. But Im not going to lie I came back way sad. The only thing that kept going through my mind was, 'I wish I would have stayed another semester'.

Ash Att's Life as of Now

So I'm not going to lie, last week was H E double hockey sticks. Ugh I was so down. Seriously. I have not been in that kind of a funk in a while. I think things are always weird when you start a new chapter in your life. Thats what was happening, and I felt like I had to refind myself. Dear Bobbie came up on Saturday night from college town and we just sat and talked. Its nice because we both have been going through similar things, so we both understand how we feel. We both just open up about everything, and we know what has been said stays between us. I have a hard time opening up about whats going on to people. I mean for real. But I can just talk to him about anything and everything. After he left I just felt so much better. I dont know what was really said, or what really happened. But things were just better.
Yesterday I went to a student ward with Shelby and Danielle(love them long time). I realized that I need to be in a student ward. Sarcrament and all the talks and lessons were so amazing. I like my other ward, dont get me wrong. The people are awesome and its been so great to be in that ward, but... I just need to find a student ward.
Friday I had a job interview. It went really well, but it was just a place that finds people for a company then if they make the cut, they send them to the actual company. Does that make any sense? So I did well in that interview then I had another one this morning. It went really well. I also have another job interview tomorrow afternoon. Man I'm so glad things are starting to look a little bit better. At least there are opportunities opening up. So I am REALLY grateful for that.
Man, I am so blessed. Sometimes I feel like I dont deserve all that my Heavenly Father blesses me with. But how grateful I am for him, and that he hears and answers my prayers. Even though there are tough days, weeks, and or months in my life. I know that I have those so I can be grateful for the good days. I also know that there are people who have been placed in my life for a reason. And how blessed I am for their example and their friendship.
I miss my old chapter in my life with good ol College Town. But Im excited to see how this new one will turn out. Hopefully its not one of those heart wrenching, sucky ones like in the book New Moon.

New Years Eve at the "Bates Motel"

This is a really long post, so I apologize. But keeping reading, you dont want to miss anything!

Best Friend and I went down to play with my "College Friends" for New Years Eve. They called me a couple days before to invite us to this fun night. They said "oh yeah it will be fun we are renting out a hotel room and going to just play games and party there". I thought it would be pretty sweet, and I always have a ton of fun with them, so we were game. So here is the thing, I know there are a butt load of pictures on this post.

WARNING: MAY CAUSE PUKE LIKE FEELINGS AND THE HE-BE-JEBIES.

First we pull into the motel and the Motel lights flickered. You know on the way scary movies when people pull into the hotel they are going to die in, and the lights on the sign flicker? Thats what happened. So we check in, and drive to our room. We walk in and im pretty sure the first words out of my mouth were "holy ----, where are we staying?" HAHA. It was pretty bad, but we really just laughed the whole time. So we sat down on our lumpy, sunk in beds and ate our sandwhiches. I dont know if that is just refection or an orb in our picture..

This is our room. Oh and the tv had 4 channels. One of them being "bisexual teenagers". So we just stuck with "Wild Hogs" on abc family.

This is the bathroom where you can take a shower, pee and brush your teeth at the same time. But you wont..unless you want a disease.

Dont worry though, we had the scent of "Black Ice" in the bathroom so we couldnt smell the stench.

I dont know if thats a spider leg or bestfriends eye lash...But that hair was there when we got there.

So the heater wasnt working below(probably because it was ripped off and full of dust). so they had this heater in the room for us. Thanks :)

So after our adventure of taking funny pictures in our room, we all got in the car to go buy spray paint. So when we got back from walmart, we went back to our room because that was where we were meeting at. When we got back, our door was not shut and our beds were a mess. Good thing we put all of our stuff back into the car...

We then all got back into the cars, so we could go spray paint peoples snow. If that was your house..it wasnt us.

After we spray painted some snow. haha. We went to play hide and seek at the old movie theater. Ugh I hate hide and seek because whenever im hiding I ALWAYS have to pee. It doesnt matter if I went right before..It always happens. No I didnt pee my pants..but I got pretty scared a couple times. While we were playing everyone had been found, except for Kevin. So we all went searching for him when we hear this "BANG THUG CRASH". We look over and all the dust and smoke is spraying out of the vents. "What was that? Did something just start on fire?" So we walk to where we heard the noise come from, and then we look up. What do we see? This FOOT hanging out from the ceiling. Yes my friends, Kevin had found and entry way ABOVE the furnice and hid up there. Until the ceiling gave way and he fell through. ahh whoops? HAHA pretty sure it makes me laugh out loud just re living that moment in my head. We play a couple rounds of hide and seek then realize the time. We have 3 minutes until midnight. 3 MINTUES? HOLY!! There was a big group of us, so we did a countdown until midnight. It was pretty awesome. 2 girls..the rest were guys. Best Friend kissed hunk of a friend "Hulk"(because he looks like it). Ahh man I didnt kiss anyone at midnight. So it was about 10 after when we left. We were standing by the car in the FREEZING cold trying to figure out what to do. We all decided to go watch Angles and Demons at our friends house. 3 people had already got into the back seat. So I went to sit in the front. I was half way in the car then I got back out. I shut the door, looked at "Dear Bobbie" and said. "I'm not getting in the car until you kiss me!". He started to blush and walked over and we kissed. My friends were all cheering and laughing. You see "Dear Bobbie" does not show any pda at all. Which is nice because im the same way. BUT it was New Years and I wanted a kiss. So I just had to do. Thats why I slammed the door and told him to come kiss me.

After that we all watched a movie aka I fell asleep. It was about 3 am when the movie ended and we went back to the Bates Motel. Bestfriend and I didnt get to bed until about 6 am. We both woke up at 8 15 WIDE AWAKE. Ask me why? I dont know. At about 8 30 we hear someone trying to open up our door. BF and I are freaking out. The guy that checked us in walked into our room. He just looked at us and said "oh ah..sorry" and walked out. WTCRAP?! Man, that freaked us out. Bad. After that lil moment we just layed there chatting it up until about 10 30 when we checked out and drove home. This trip was SO MUCH FUN!! Even though our place was a little sketchy..Im glad we went. We just played all night with my friends and I loved it. And Im glad we just "cowboyed up" and stayed at the place. The other two girls ditched because they couldnt hack it. But BF and I stayed, and it was a BLAST!!

Oh ps remember how we got back and our door wasnt shut and our beds were a mess? Well its because our rooms got double booked. My friends got booked for our room also, but saw the room and beds and went right back to check out. HAHA. good thing they were just my friends and checked out..or else that could have turned bad. ha. Can you imagine walking into your room to find random people staying there? YIKES. Anyway that was our NEW YEARS EVE EXTRAVAGANZA! Hope you all had a great New Years! :)

This past week...

So this past week I moved back to good ol hometown. It has been awesome to be back with all my family, and to see my hometown friends again. I didn't realize how much I would miss "college town" though. It really is so weird. When I'm there I always wanted to be home, when im home I want to be there. "wtcrap ash" thats what I say. Anyway, last week on my last night in "college town" I had a little shin-dig. It was so I could say goodbye to all my friends, and just kind of have a good night with them all. It was alot of fun! Everyone showed up, and we ate icecream. um hi I LOVE icecream. Love as in I could eat my weight in it. Aint nothin but a thang right?

So Thursday morning I got up really early to pack all my shiz. uh, I hate moving. I was actually dragging my feet while packing. Kels sat on her bed and we mostly talked the whole time I was packing. Even though I sounded like a man because I had bacterial bronchitis, it was good to talk to her. We took a couple of room mate pictures and gave eachother hugs. They have been so awesome. Its been nice to have them all as room mates, and I have learned so much from each of them. So I get all my car packed, and I walk into my bare room to say good bye to Kels. As we are hugging the tears start rolling down my face. It was such a sad moment. Even now writing this post I have a lump in my throat. I pull my self together, walk down the stairs and got into my car. I sat for a couple minutes just staring at everything and taking one last mental image of the place I have lived at for 3 years... Sad moment. I'm going to miss it, and everyone there. Thank heavens for cell phones and facebook right?

$12 in Duck Tape=This post

Last Thursday the guys and I went to go to a dance, but it didnt work out. So we all sat around doing the whole "what do you want to do? I dont know what do you want to do" type of thing. Well randomly one of the boys says "lets duck tape someone to the ceiling.". ummm ok? wtcrap who is this kid? haha. anyway we were bored..so we went to good ol wal-mart to sure enough get duck tape. what did we have to lose? We get back to my appartment and I jump up on the couch against the wall. And they went duck taping away. IT was SO FUN! holy cow we were laughing the whole time. We used two huge rolls aka 12 dollars worth in duck tape. aint nothin but at thang. So here are the pictures of our adventure, and then a video at the bottom of me sticking to the wall. You can laugh out loud if you like, no one will judge.

Sometimes I find Obama in my bed..

This is the famous mask that has been with us all semester. Well Sunday night "Dear Bobbie" and I took the mask and set it on one of our chairs. So when people walked into our appartment they would get freaked out. It worked by the way. So my roomates were fed up with looking at him. So what did they do? They stuck it in my bed and put the covers over it. Here's what happened..

I was all finished with my finals, so I walk into my room. My two roomates were in helen and I's room talking to eachother on her bed. I sat at my computer and just chilled for about 10 minutes. I walked out of my room and into the kitchen to get a drink. I stand at my door and noticed that my bed was made. Well ish. It looked like someone was IN MY BED. So I crept up to my bed and poked whatever what in my bed. I then unfold the covers and BAM! There obamas face laying on my pillow.

Looking back on the past 2 1/2 years..

The past couple years of my life have been spent in "College Town". Picture this..Small town, hicks, nothing to do. Or so I thought. My first thougths of this town were not the thoughts that have happend these past years. It has been filled with fun times, hard times, sad times, and happy times. They have been filled with such great people who have been such great examples to me. There have been Fun times, as in making forts in the living room just because we felt like little kids that night. As in random ghost hunting trips, funny pranks, or the night we spent getting ducked taped to the wall. Or just the nights we all sat up laughing because we were slap happy. The times when roomates pantsed me everyday for a week. The times when I pee my pants because my roomates knew the right things to say to make me laugh..that hard(Do not judge). Hard times as in being away from home, and learning to depend on myself to get things done. Or going out and finding a job, and learning on my own what I want to do in life. Hard times as in realizing I forgot to write a paper and it's due in the morning. Or when I DON'T get along with a roomate at all, and feel like screaming; but end up loving them for who they are. The times of being left to do all the dishes and there is mold growing on a pan that someone else used. blah. Sad times such as learning my first love doesnt love me anymore. Or after every year of getting to know such great friends and then having saying goodbye to the friends that have been so great and seeing them move on. The times I cried in my bed because nothing was going right at all, and nothing was happening the way I wanted them to. But looking back, they were right and that is what was supposed to happen. The times when all the boys wanted to date the roomates and I felt so alone. But in the end, realizing that great guys are worth waiting for.
Happy times are when you meet people that put a smile on your face. Or when someone stayed up talking with you about life. Happy times as in getting a picture from your friend who has special needs, and  they say "I love you" 40 times a day. The times when things are hard, and rough, but knowing there is a light at the end. Happy times are when each year, your put with your best friends that you get to share these times with.

These past couple years have been awesome. I know that my Heavenly Father has placed me here for a reason. Those exact reasons I'm not so sure. But I do know that I have had such great experiences here at "College Town". I have learned so much in school, and also from all the people around me. There have been alot of awesome people that have impacted my life, and I thank my Heavenly Father for sending me here. And for also placing those experiences, and people into my life. I'm going to miss "College Town", and these past years will not be forgotten.
* I wanted to post pictures..but it wasn't working. I will post pictures later :). And I hope this post made sense.. I just write and hope it all works. ha

I love pranks..and I remember my first year of college, I was pullin pranks all the time. Well my roommates gave me a run for my money when I came home to this. Just watch the video. After that, they thought it was funny to keep doing this kind of stuff to me... I got them back, don't worry.

I might have a problem....
I've never seen the office because I could just never get into it.
Well...On Friday I started season one. It is now Wednesday and we(the roomates and I) are now on Season 4. Is that a problem? Yes.
Have I still gone to all my classes, and done my homework? Yes
Do I still workout every day and do my religious studies? Yes
So...Maybe its not that bad. But I did find myself saying "Thats what she said" today..
Whoops...

Down one week, 16 to go...

Not only do I have 16 weeks of school left, but sometimes I feel like I look like a baby dinosaur in pictures. Its just this really weird thing about me. And sometimes I think other people look like different animals in pictures. Its weird.

Ok so now I have that out of the way, here is what the last 2 weeks have been like..

1. Hike of Awesome-ness. This is basically my lil Broha at school. We chill like nobody else's busis-nass.

3. Boating with Ambassadors. Pictures on the way..

4. Leadership Training. Leadership training this year was awesome! There are 4 main leadership groups on campus. We had lectures, presentations, trust games, other great games. Basically it all brought us together. I love it!

5. Actual Classes..*music* DUN DUN DUN. It actually was not that bad. Im taking 18 credit hours, so it will be hard. But good to go. My Professors are AWESOME, so it should be fine. But I'll keep you posted through out the semester.

6. SCHOOL ACTIVITIES EVERYNIGHT! Our school is awesome like that. Monday,Stomp. Tuesday,Mentalist. He put everyones change in a bag, then quickly shook the bag in his hand. He then opened the ziplock bag and they were ALL BENT! yes, BENT! Wednesday,True Eagle(you kiss over Gibbi the rock) and BBQ. Thursday,jello slip n slide and Improv night. Friday,Pool Party.

Oh the Randomness of my Life..

Oh how this is so very true. So these are the Random things aka things that I may or may not have peed my pants over..

2. This is L. and she has chocolate chip in her teeth.

It all started when there was a big tub of cookie dough. And we may or may not have been having a laughing fit. So she turns around after eating some of the de-lish dough, and this is what happens.

-This was my first year of college. I was stepping over a vacuum cord. When one roomate lifts it up, and the other one shoves cupcake on my face while im tripping on the cord. thanks guys, love ya long time..NOT

Yes, Phineas the Frog, JUMPED OUT OF his water and shriveled up on the ground. Hopefully he wasn't my Prince Charming, or else I might have to resort to being a Mormon Nun-ness.
